East Village Art Scene and Alphabet City - New York 1983-88

A selection from a total of 140 slides, capturing life in the Lower East Side - Loisaida and Alphabet City from 1983 to about 1988.  A diverse and multi cultural neighbourhood, home to artists, street life, street art, galleries, abandoned buildings, poverty, drug dealers, and boundless creative energy.  The  digital slideshow was projected at the exhibition East Village: Vulnerable & Extreme  at SeMA - Seoul Museum of Art from Dec. 2018 to Feb. 2019
