D-train story for French Marie-Claire
Portraits of New Yorkers taken along the route of the D-train subway in New York. Starting in the Bronx, tunneling its way through all of Manhattan, surfacing in Brooklyn and ending its long journey in Coney Island at the Atlantic ocean. Photographed 2001 in August & early September, the story was first published in the French edition of Marie-Claire as a tribute to the people of New York City.
