D-Train portraits

Portraits of New Yorkers taken along the route of the D-train subway line.  Starting in the Bronx and tunnelling its way through all of Manhattan, surfacing in Brooklyn and ending its long journey in Coney Island at the Atlantic ocean. Photographed in August & early September 2001, the story was first published in French Marie-Claire as a tribute to the people of New York City.  published story > click here
